Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Assistant Manager to lead our marketing department focused on Software Application Partners. This senior role will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic marketing vision, managing a team of marketing professionals, and driving growth of our software partner ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical marketing expertise with strong leadership abilities to enhance our market position and foster a thriving partner network.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee comprehensive marketing strategies for the software application partner segment
Lead and mentor a team of marketing specialists, providing guidance, professional development, and performance management
Establish marketing KPIs and reporting frameworks that align with business objectives
Manage departmental budget and resource allocation for maximum ROI
Build executive-level relationships with key software partners to develop strategic co-marketing initiatives
Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Business Development teams to ensure alignment of partner marketing activities
Present marketing performance results and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Drive innovation in partner engagement approaches to differentiate from competitors
Oversee the development of high-quality technical marketing materials and campaigns
Represent the company at industry events and partner conferences
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management to support evolving business needs and team objectives
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in technology marketing, with at least 1 year focused on developer relations or software partnerships
1+ years of team management experience, preferably in a B2B tech environment
Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies for technical audiences
Strong understanding of software integration concepts, APIs, and development ecosystems
Experience building and scaling partnership marketing programs
Advanced proficiency with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms
Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in translating technical concepts
Data-driven decision-making approach with experience in budget management
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in a relevant field
Experience managing marketing for a platform or marketplace business
Technical background in software development or product management
Experience with partner or developer portal strategy and development
Knowledge of partner ecosystem business models and revenue strategies
Track record of successfully launching co-marketing programs with major software partners
Tools & Technology Proficiency
CRM and partner relationship management platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Marketing automation and campaign management tools
Analytics platforms and data visualization tools
Content management systems
Budget management and forecasting tools
