Technical Cloud Manager

Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure.

  • Implement and manage cloud monitoring and alerting systems.

  • Manage cloud resource utilization and cost optimization.

• Cloud Solution Design and Implementation: 

  • Design and implement cloud architectures that meet business requirements.

  • Lead cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions.

  • Develop and maintain cloud automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services.

• Team Leadership and Collaboration: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services.

  • Act as a technical point of contact for cloud-related issues.

• Security and Compliance: 

  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).

  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

  • Manage Identity and access management within the cloud environments.

• Incident Management and Problem Resolution: 

  • Lead incident response and resolution for cloud-related issues.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

• Cost Management: 

  • Analyze cloud spending, and provide reporting.

  • Implement cost optimization strategies.

  • Forecast future cloud spending.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven experience in managing cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).   

• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).

• Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver).

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Leadership and team management experience.   

• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.   

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

• Experience in a data center environment and hybrid cloud solutions.
